We have always been very proud of the community surrounding SSBD. In fact it is you all that make us unique and special. As we go forward as a Music Festival, we view it our primary goal to build and foster these relationships as they have given everyone such a warm feeling after our event.
So in that, this year we wanted to meet your friends and give you a chance to win tickets at the same time!
After the contest is over, we will be closing the community tier, so there won't be a chance to buy tickets for a while as we prepare for 2024.
2023 was a very magical experience, but we are excited for 2024 because it's brighter with you in it! <3
Also, be sure to check out our YouTube. This year we will be doing a lot of smaller YouTube Shorts throughout the year, so subscribe and check them out as we drop them!

As music festivals go, Same Same But Different Music Festival has always been known for its incredible lineup, great vibes, and unforgettable experiences. But in September 2022, Mother Nature decided to throw us a curveball when a hurricane hit Southern California right in the middle of the festival.
As the winds picked up and rain poured down, our first priority was the safety of our festival-goers, staff, and musicians.
We had to make the difficult decision to shut down the stages and ask everyone to seek shelter. In the chaos that ensued, something truly magical happened. With musicians scattered about, seeking shelter wherever they could find it, jam sessions broke out all over the festival grounds. It was a true testament to the power of music to bring people together and lift our spirits even in the toughest of times.
One of the highlights of that unforgettable weekend was a freestyle rap session by Harry Mack in the merch tent. As people huddled together, seeking refuge from the storm outside, Harry Mack delivered a performance that will go down in festival history. His flow was smooth, his rhymes were tight, and he left everyone in the tent with their jaws on the ground. It's moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.
Yes, the music is amazing, and the vibes are incredible, but it's the sense of community and connection that truly makes a festival like Same Same But Different so special. We're grateful to everyone who came out that weekend, weathered the storm with us, and made memories that will last a lifetime.
As we look back on that unforgettable weekend, we're reminded of the resilience of the human spirit and the power of music to bring us together, even in the face of adversity.
We can't wait to see you all again soon, and make more unforgettable memories together.
Attending a camping music festival on the beach can be an unforgettable experience, but it's important to be prepared. Here's a list of the top 10 things you should pack before you arrive at Same Same But Different Music Festival:
A tent and camping gear - This is a no-brainer, but make sure you have a sturdy tent, sleeping bag, and a comfortable sleeping pad. Also, don't forget to bring a tarp to put under your tent in case of rain or damp ground.
Sunscreen and insect repellent - With the sun shining and the beach nearby, you'll want to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Also, be sure to pack bug spray to keep pesky bugs at bay.
A portable charger - With all the dancing and partying, your phone battery is sure to drain quickly. Bring a portable charger to keep your devices charged throughout the festival. You can always tap in at one of our charging stations but spaces are limited.
A refillable water bottle - Staying hydrated is important, especially when you're out in the sun all day. Bring a refillable water bottle and make sure to fill it up often.
A beach towel - Whether you're lounging on the beach or sitting on the grass, a beach towel is a must-have. It's also a great way to keep your spot at the front of the stage.
Comfortable footwear - You'll be doing a lot of walking and dancing, so make sure to pack comfortable shoes that you can wear all day. Flip-flops or sandals are great for the beach. The sand gets hot!
A lightweight rain jacket - Even if the forecast is sunny, it's always a good idea to pack a lightweight rain jacket.
A reusable bag - A reusable bag is great for carrying all your essentials, and it's also a more sustainable option than using disposable plastic bags.
Cash and a credit card - SSBD is a cashless event, however it's always a good idea to bring some with you in case.
A small first aid kit - A small first aid kit can come in handy if you get a blister or a headache. Pack band-aids, pain relievers, and any other essentials you might need.
With these items packed, you'll be well prepared for an amazing time at Same Same But Different. Enjoy the music, the sun, and the beach, and don't forget to have fun!
