MNTRA wears two pairs of glasses and many hats; DJ, producer, sonic wizard, boundary-breaker, community builder, underground hero, dedicated friend, rising star. His dedication to a growing family of fans, friends and fellow artists has brought him to where he is today - a beloved part of his community and a pioneer of a special sound. His commitment to a long-game journey of pure intentions and authentic expression in the music scene has been a labor of love and he is beginning to reap the rewards, here's a glimpse at some of the pivotal milestones propelling MNTRA toward stardom and his bright future ahead: If you have ever seen MNTRA on stage or off, you'll know his magnetic presence is one to captivate audiences and in 2023 it lead to a request from The Sponges for him to be the direct support artist for their tour. That same year MNTRA's offbeat and unique sound caught Justin Martin's ear, who signed him as the inaugural artist for his imprint ‘What To Do’ - resulting in MNTRA's debut album, the 11-track Hey, How Are You? LP released in June 2024. Later that fall, MNTRA released 2 stacked volumes of remixes for his album which include works from Desert Hearts' Marbs, Justin Martin, Edward White, Baby Weight, ANIMATE, and a host of incredibly talented pals MNTRA grew up in the scene with; Malley, Dernis, the Kid, TCHiLT, Bawab, Sydka, Dunbar, Snuffy. In 2025 MNTRA put his passion for collaboration and integration of community into action with his own party label, 'MNTRA & Friends' - an event series meant to foster inclusively and connection, uniting his many communities into a greater whole This year found MNTRA at massive festivals on an international scale like Shambhala, Desert Hearts, Lightning in a Bottle, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and The Friendship, all while staying true to his underground roots, landing on smaller community-lead festivals across the nation; Umbrella Friends Weekend (CA), Off The Grid Campout, Karnival of the Arts (CA) and Showcation (MD). MNTRA is an artist unlike any other in this scene; His distinctive musical trademark, captivating stage presence, servitude to the community and truly compelling narrative makes him one to watch as his artistry takes on new levels this year.
